Path to Recovery
In those contractive moments, I turned to crystals and Tarot to give me an anchor
PDTRÂ moved me out of fear and confusion, into excitement and wonder about what my body was capable of
EMDR helped me to center into the present, instead of fleeing
the more I used these tools, the more I began to evolve and heal as a person
On top of that I did heaps and heaps of research on my health: figuring out that concussions are actually not supposed to last and 'come back' as well as how to best manage my chronic illnesses. (Shoutout to Post Concussion Syndrome)
finding the other end of the tunnel
Healing is an ever evolving journey
While I'm by no means a proffesional, I do want to share my experience with those who struggle to find this light, and are working on their own growth and evolution, but in a gentle way, and at their own pace.
While healing isn't linear, change is very much possible. No spiritual by-passing, just genuine actionable change.
Nalite is about taking actionable steps to a soul-led life; taking life at your pace; leading with purpose and intergration.
Slow but steady steps
Now, after a lot of hard work, Nikki feels more energetic each day. She is capable of living, maybe not the most normal of lives, but definitely the most joyful one! And is proud to be starting Nalite, a project they've dreamt of since she was around 14 and has developed the name of at she 16. In may of 2023 at 18 she registered Nalite as an official company and in 2025 is making their dream come true by launching Nalite to the public.
present days
"It took me some time to be ready for Nalite. I've had to drop out of school because of my mental health and put my whole life on pause. It feels foreign to think that merely a year ago I was still experiencing constant anxiety attacks. Nowadays my baseline is deep belly breaths with a flair of chronic pain. Everyday I learn to take better care of myself, this journey I hope to share with you, so we can all live life to the fullest" - Nikki

Mind-body connection
I have the honour to have worked with Barry Westerveld, a chronic pain and P-DTR expert,Â
though his site is in Dutch, I highly reccomend checking him and his field of work out!
Bowing to my Tutor
The way tarot is traditionally taught and interpreted, never sat quite right with me. Aside from personal field-notes, Tarot for The Wild Soul from Lindsay Mack has transformed my view of the Tarot completely.
A toast to Therapy!
Marleen Dekker's work has shaped me tremendously in my healing journey, as a gentle and encouraging guide, she helped me take back the reigns over my mental health through EMDR. To dutch people; reccomend reccomend!
family support
unconditional
Although I have learned a lot on my own, I would like to take a moment to not only thank my Oma, but also my mom, dad and my siblings. Without their unconditinal love none of this would have been possible.Â
I would like to thank my uncles, aunts, cousins, my cats, and above all my late grandpa, who helps me find my earbuds nowadays.Â
With every decision I make, my family is there to support me. Their warmth has shaped me, their laughter gives me strenght and their cuddles are honestly peak!
They are to me what in Dutch we call 'gezellig' a word which I'll forever try to find a 100% encompassing definition for.Â
Thank you, thank you, thank you! How grateful I am to know all of you and to be apart of your lives <3
SPECIAL THANKS
to everyone who let me bombard them with pictures and questions for feedback on the site!
this site probably would've taken another century to come together if it wasn't for them nudging me in the right direction, with invaluable advice from writing, to the logistics of operating a site, it's an honour knowing your words shaped this site as much as they've shaped me.
and now to you, the reader: congratulations! you've made it to the end. thank you for being here, thank you for being you!
